Autumn Drink Series: Mulled Wine

Hello Darlings!

Mulled wine is an autumn and winter staple drink in my mind. My first recollection of falling in love with it was walking down the streets of Vienna when I was studying abroad. It was snowing, gorgeous, and frigidly cold. There were mulled wine vendors in most of the squares and we would pop from square to square sipping the hot liquid, keeping us warm as we shopped and explored. From that point on, I considered mulled wine to be one of my favorite beverages, one that I knew I had to recreate at home. Turns out it is extremely easy to concoct!

Ingredients:

- 1 Bottle of Red Wine
- 10 Whole Cloves
- 2 Cinnamon Sticks
- 2 Ginger Medallions (or 2 Teaspoons of Ground Ginger)
- 1 Orange, Peeled
- 1 Tablespoon Honey

Instructions:

1. Add all ingredients to a large saucepan on medium low heat.

2. Let heat without boiling for 15-20 minutes so the wine gets infused with spice and citrus.

3. Strain, and serve while hot.
4. Enjoy! (Simple, right!?)
