Tinkerbelle Reviews: Newman’s Own Organics for Pets (Giveaway!)

Hello Darlings!

I am completely obsessed with my Samoyed Tinkerbelle (note the smiling face in my blog’s header) and as such believe that all of our fur babies deserve the same healthy food and treats that we feed ourselves. So when Newman’s Own Organics reached out and offered a package of goodies for both humans (more on that next week!) and little miss Tinkerbelle, I was excited for Tink to try the all organic line of treats and food!

When the box arrived Tink was so excited- tail wagging and sniffing all around, (knocking the whole thing over before I took a picture- #BloggerProblems) so we decided to try some of the treats right away. She was ecstatic. In the coming weeks we worked our way through the box of goodies and she gobbled everything up, which, quite frankly, is amazing because I have the pickiest eater on the planet!

Wet Food:

Tink isn’t usually a wet food dog, but after this I bet she hopes she turns into one! Generally I supplement her dry food with veggies and cooked chicken or beef (I made extra without spices when I am cooking) but I can see supplementing dry food with a can of wet food would be a great idea once in a while! All of the Newman’s Own Organic wet foods in the sampler box were very well received (yes, that is Tink licking her lips!) and are made from great, whole ingredients that you can read!

The Chicken and Brown Rice formula’s top ingredients is organic chicken, the Organic Beef and Liver’s top ingredients are organic beef and liver, and the same goes for the Organic Turkey and Organic Chicken Dinners. You can’t beat an ingredient list like that! These cans receive a stamp of approval from me!

Snacks:

The sampler pack also arrived with two bags of snacks (perfect for a spoiled puppy!) that are also chock full of organic, whole foods. While the Peanut Butter Premium Dog Treats were a hit, full of organic barley, peanut butter, carrots, apples, chicken and molasses, Tinkerbelle’s favorite were the Chicken and Rice Snack Sticks!

A great size for my just under 50-pound pup, the snack sticks were a tasty treat that took a bit of time to consume. Tinkerbelle loved them and I love the ingredients and the nutrition they have to offer- each stick’s analysis includes a whopping 18% protein!

Dry Food:

I officially have the brattiest dog on the planet. When you are trying out a new dog food for your pet, as a pet owner you are supposed to gradually mix the new food in with the old, changing the percentage weekly as to not upset your pet’s digestion. Unless of course your fur baby’s name is Tinkerbelle who picked out the new food, eating ONLY that and leaves the rest behind. I think it suffices to say that she thought the new food was tasty!

Overall the Newman’s Own Organics brand of pet food is a solid win in my book! And the lovely Newman’s Own folks are offering one of my readers a pet sampler pack of their own! Enter to win in the Rafflecopter below, contest ends 4/23/14 US only.
